Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela felt his side deserved a lot more from their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chippa United last night.
The Amakhosi conceded an early goal to Chippa midfielder Abel Mabaso and were unable to recover – even though they dominated the second half.
Chiefs have gone five league matches without a win – scoring just one goal in the sequence – and have dropped to seventh place on the table following the defeat in Port Elizabeth.
“I think in the first half, we committed an error right at the beginning and that was the defining moment,” Komphela told SuperSport TV cameras.
“With respect — they did well, Chippa, but I thought in the second half, there was only one team on the park.
“I think the number of chances we created was more than they did, but all we need to do is hit the back of the net.”
Chiefs will look to return to winning form when they face Platinum Stars in Rustenburg on Saturday evening.
